About Us...
For the first three years of Sew on Fire Ministries, Jeff and I opened our home to hundreds of people from mission teams, schools, youth groups, churches, family members, friends and people from the community. Today, these groups assist us in our space at the Crossroads Missions warehouse. (address and directions are below) They have volunteered their time to sew and put together gift bags filled with practical items. These bags are sent with volunteer groups visiting a specific country or to a local personal contact, so I am assured these items are hand delivered in love to those in need. Every dime is squeezed, and every item received is considered a gift from God so that together we can make a difference in many lives. Through these gifts bags we offer hope and demonstrate the love of God, transforming lives for His honour and glory! Sew on Fire Ministries is a God-birthed ministry that sends humanitarian aid, blankets, mini layettes and custom designed cloth gift bags all over the world. We send and distribute merchandise with short-term missions’ groups, and have sent 300 shipments to over 70 countries so far. God blesses this ministry with many donations, and practical items. We creatively package and provide them free of charge for groups and missionaries to take and bless others. Volunteers across Canada sew cloth bags, quilts, blankets, t-shirts, baby overalls, ladies knit mittens, lap blankets, and we package baby layettes. These gifts and homemade cloth bags are sent to orphanages, hospitals, widows living on the streets, young single moms, children living in garbage dumps, refugees and the poor.
